Bibi ka Maqbara

The fact that Aurangabad itself has lots of more to offer than just Ajanta & Ellora can be testified from the presence of the beautiful 'Bibi-Ka-Maqbara' Built in 1679, by Aurangzeb's son in memory of his mother Begum Rabia Durani it is inspired by the Taj Mahal in both design and execution. A replica of the Taj Mahal, Bibi-Ka-Maqbara was built in 1678 by Aurangzeb's son as a tribute to his mother Begum Rabia Durani. It is the only specimen of the Mughal architecture of it's kind, in the Deccan plateau.
